This kit includes everything you need for the Passover Bedikat Chametz ritual! 🕯️🦅🍞

Most Bedikat Chametz kits feature a cheap balsa wood spoon, a farmed & bleached goose feather, a yellow-dyed paraffin candle, and a mass-produced laminated blessing card. But we believe the ritual deserves something special!

Our kit contains a hand-smoothed and oiled wooden spoon crafted from sustainably harvested trees, a natural pheasant feather gathered cruelty-free from naturally shed feathers, a hand-dipped, pure beeswax candle, and a custom-designed blessing pamphlet printed on sustainably sourced parchment paper. 🌳🕊️✨

Bedikat Chametz (בדיקת חמץ) is the sacred ritual where one searches for any last remaining chametz (bread products) in the home, which are forbidden to possess during the festival of Pesach. By candlelight, you visually search for remaining crumbs and pieces, sweeping them into the wooden spoon with the feather. Traditionally, the feather and spoon are burned along with any remaining chametz the following morning, though this is not strictly required. 🔥🍞🌙

Our kit adds a rustic, old-world charm to this ancient ritual, making it perfect for gifting! Whether it's for a host/hostess, birthday, bar/bat mitzvah, or even a seasonal or holiday gift, this kit is a meaningful way to celebrate. It's also great for students heading off to college or anyone looking to reinvigorate this tradition with a handcrafted touch. 🎁💫

The kit includes: • 1 pheasant feather, 8-10 in. 🦚 (pictured feather is 8 in) • 1 hand-dipped beeswax candle, 5-6 in. 🕯️🍯 • 1 custom-designed & printed blessing pamphlet, with blessings for the ritual in Hebrew, English, and transliterated. 📜📖 • 1 wooden spoon, smoothed & finished with a natural oil glaze. 🥄🌿 • 1 custom-designed matchbox containing 18 strike-on-box matches. 🕯️🔥
